Fitness Games Part 5

Here is my fifth part of my fitness games article series.  Use these in your classes, your own workouts or for inspiration.

Personal Trainer Vanacker Hamptons NY– Chinese Wall (group game): When the tagger claps his/her hands, the group has to cross the playing field (don’t make it too big).  The tagger stands in a designated strip across the playing field, which he/she may not leave.  The participants have to run across.  If tagged, they have to step out, perform a drill or exercise (for example 50 reps split between full body sit ups & push ups) before entering the game again.  Modifications can be group size, playing field size, speed of the game, amount of taggers and the drill difficulty.

– Drill: Students run around the playing field, when instructor yells out ‘Left’, students do 3 single leg burpees on that side.  Same as for the right side.  Modification: instead of running, after the single leg burpees, the students can be required to hop in place on that same leg until instructor changes the side.
