Here is my fifth part of my fitness games article series. Use these in your classes, your own workouts or for inspiration.
– Chinese Wall (group game): When the tagger claps his/her hands, the group has to cross the playing field (don’t make it too big). The tagger stands in a designated strip across the playing field, which he/she may not leave. The participants have to run across. If tagged, they have to step out, perform a drill or exercise (for example 50 reps split between full body sit ups & push ups) before entering the game again. Modifications can be group size, playing field size, speed of the game, amount of taggers and the drill difficulty.
– Drill: Students run around the playing field, when instructor yells out ‘Left’, students do 3 single leg burpees on that side. Same as for the right side. Modification: instead of running, after the single leg burpees, the students can be required to hop in place on that same leg until instructor changes the side.
