Part 8 of the fitness games series. This one is a bit more HIIT drill oriented. The ‘games’ are drills, to be completed as fast as possible with proper form. When you are done, you take a few minutes off and you pick someone who is not finished yet and complete their series with them.
Every time you or someone else finishes, you pick someone else to finish their series with until everyone is finishing up the last person’s series.
Drill 1: Pick 4 exercises and lay them out away from each other so there is room to travel (sprint) from one to another. Do everything 20 times, then 15, 10 and 5.
This drill works best if everyone has their own stations – their own route to go so there is no waiting for equipment so small equipment works great.
Drill 2: 7s – Make 7 (shared) stations with one exercise each. The participants have to complete 7 sets of 7 reps of all 7 exercises as fast as they can. If there is not enough equipment in one station, they can do another first. There is no set order, as long as they finish all stations without cheating (honor system).
Again, make sure there is enough equipment at each station, just so you don’t slow anyone down by providing not enough opportunity to complete their sets. Focus on body weight exercises and small equipment.
