As you know we're a huge fan of the Flexitarian Diet (it's not a diet). This means you eat mostly plant based yet have some animal based products from time to time. It's a huge step towards sustainability, better animal welfare, better health, avoiding deficiencies etcetera. This is something we discussed more in detail during one of our seminars.
While we support mostly plant based eating, we do enjoy the occasional burger and this is my favorite turkey burger recipe for grilling.
- 2 lbs of turkey meat
- 1 cup of instant oatmeal
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1.5 teaspoon of onion powder
Mix them all together in a bowl, make four 0.5 lbs patties and place them on the grill, preheated at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep them on the grill (no real need to flip) for 20 - 25 minutes until cooked through and enjoy!
