We have received several questions regarding the "Workout of the Day".
To clear up any confusion, here are a few basic questions answered regarding the Workout of the Day class.
Is it a class or open gym?
It is a class very similar to the HIIT and HIRT classes you are familiar with. So yes, the time frame given is the time allowed to do the workout. For example, if class starts at 8am, the warmup will start at 8am.
What is the difference between the Workout of the Day and a HIIT or HIRT class?
Not much! Coaches have the workout written out (the same as other classes). We explain the workout, correct form, and monitor the class as we do in other classes. It is just a bit more independent.
So why is this class offered instead of a HIIT or HIRT class?
The Workout of the Day makes things a bit easier to prevent hearing issues or yelling over the music through a mask, all while we are trying to catch our breath. As many of you know, FitGuana coaches has classes back to back and working out with a mask on is a challenge for one hour. So just imagine working out for three hours with a mask, all while yelling directions through the mask. YIKES!
Still confused? Here is an example of our WORKOUT OF THE DAY:
As you can see, it is very similar to what you see in our HIIT and HIRT classes.
